Cooper Named to Lennox Board of Directors

DALLAS, June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Lennox International Inc. recently named Janet Cooper to its Board of Directors. Cooper, who joined US West in 1998 as vice president and treasurer, assumed the role of vice president -- finance and controller in June of this year.

In 1978, Ms. Cooper joined The Quaker Oats Company as senior operations analyst, corporate planning. She later served as director, investor relations; director, planning, North American Foods; and assistant treasurer. From 1992-1997, she served as vice president, treasurer and in 1998 became vice president, treasurer and tax.

From 1976 to 1978, she was an associate engineer with General Motors, ending her tenure there as a project engineer.

Ms. Cooper holds an MBA from the University of Chicago in finance and international business. She received her Master of Science degree in Applied Science from the University of Illinois (U of I), and graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Mathematics/Computer Science, Economics also from U of I.

Additionally, she has served on The Toro Company Board of Directors for the last five years, where she currently chairs the Audit Committee and serves on the Compensation Committee. She is also very active in a variety of not- for-profit Boards.
