Stinson Appointed to Lennox Board of Directors

DALLAS, Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Lennox International Inc. recently announced the appointment of Terry Dean Stinson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., to its Board of Directors. Mr. Stinson's term runs through 2001.

Prior to joining Bell, Mr. Stinson was Group Vice President and Segment President of Textron Aerospace Systems and Components for Textron Inc. since 1991. Before that, he had been President of Hamilton Standard Division of United Technologies Corporation (UTC) since 1986. He previously served as President of the Elliott Company and International Support Systems (ISS), another wholly-owned subsidiary of UTC. Before joining UTC in 1974 as Director of Operations Analysis, Mr. Stinson held key management positions at a number of major corporations.

A native of Omaha, NE, Mr. Stinson graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Industrial Management and currently serves on the Executive Advisory Board for the College of Management.

He has been active in a number of professional and civic organizations, having served as a Junior Achievement Advisor, and as the US Savings Bond Drive Chairman for the State of Connecticut. Mr. Stinson is a trustee of the National Aviation Hall of Fame and a member of the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) Board of Governor.
